The German Research Foundation granted a second funding period to the SFB 1078. The joint research on "Protonation Dynamics in Protein Function" will now be continued until 2020.
The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) decided last week to continue funding the Collaborative Research Center 1078 (Sonderforschungsbereich, SFB 1078). The SFB 1078 will now continue its joint research endeavor on “Protonation Dynamics in Protein Function” for another 4 years until December 2020. The total amount of funding for that period will exceed 10.4 million Euro.
During the second funding period, the Berlin-based research platform of the SFB 1078 will be extended and supported by collaborators from the Technical University of Dresden, the Justus Liebig University of Gießen and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
